We have a range of volunteer opportunities from helping out at events, representing us at community events and helping us distribute flyers and collection tins throughout the local area.

Volunteer Charity Ambassadors can undertake a range of duties to support our charity team and represent the charity and trust within the local community. This can include:
Retail and trade
Working in the charity retail outlets, restocking, tidying and cleaning, serving members of the public, taking card and cash payments. This may include ‘pop-up’ shops on and off hospital site/s.
Promotion and distribution
Ensuring promotional materials across our hospitals are up to date by replenishing charity information boards with posters, leaflets and donation envelopes.
Collections
Distributing and monitoring collection tins within an agreed area. Recording information, keeping in touch with supporters and arranging regular collection and replacement of tins. Paying in funds collected to the charity office/s.
Fundraising events
Supporting University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity events which can include marshalling, administration support, manning charity stands i.e. tombola or cake sales and set up/pack down of event.
Community events
Representing the charity at community-based events. This can include attending cheque presentations, meetings, social events, fundraisers and galas.
