Twilight Walk

By Events

Every year, hundreds of people across Dorset come together to shine bright at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity’s Twilight Walk to support those affected by breast cancer.

Families, friends, NHS colleagues and even some furry friends participate in our heartfelt event to show their support for those receiving treatment for breast cancer and raise funds for University Hospitals Dorset’s Breast Unit.

It’s a truly special evening as we celebrate the lives of loved ones who have faced breast cancer and the amazing NHS staff who are there for our local communities.

Every penny raised will support the breast health team at University Hospitals Dorset, improve the patient experience and help us acquire vital equipment to enhance care at our hospitals – above and beyond what the NHS will fund.

In 2024, thanks to the dazzling generosity of hundreds of people across Dorset, we raised £20,734.94 for University Hospitals Dorset’s Breast Unit.

Light Up The Prom

By Events

Have you lost a loved one?

If so, we understand that a day never goes by without you thinking of them, and we hold our special Light Up The Prom event annually for everybody to get involved in. It is a very special evening of remembrance and togetherness with thoughtful readings, music performed by a local choir and fireworks that light up the Bournemouth Pier and beach.

If you’d like to celebrate your loved ones’ irreplaceable legacy with us while supporting your local hospitals, you can join our next Light Up The Prom event in late 2025. We will share details about how you can get involved closer to the event.

Together, we can celebrate their life and your cherished memories, whether they were cared for at our hospitals or not.

Every donation to the Light Up The Prom campaign will go towards helping enhance the services we can provide for future patients. The event is a complimentary part of the ‘Light Up The Prom’ campaign, and our 2024 event was kindly sponsored by Coles Miller Solicitors.

2023 elf dash

Elf Dash

By Events

Get ready to make holiday magic at the most elf-tastic event of the festive season! It’s something for the whole family to enjoy while supporting your local hospitals.

During the Christmas season, we invite people across our community to join us for a day of holiday spirit to fundraise for exciting projects that go above and beyond NHS funding.

To help get you into the Christmas spirit, you’ll receive a festive elf hat to wear proudly as you enjoy delicious mince pies, hot drinks and a special visit from Santa in his magical grotto!

In 2024, our community came together to fundraise for the future children’s classroom in the new BEACH Building at Royal Bournemouth Hospital! Every penny raised will help sleigh our fundraising goal to fully equip the classroom with technology to further enhance the patient experience and education for our young patients while they need hospital care.

Elf Dash 2024 was kindly sponsored by United Taxis.
